Government Funding

Is your child funded?

The government offers free childcare hours to eligible families. We accept all funded places and can stretch hours over 48 weeks to make things more flexible for working parents. Funded hours cover the session cost — the optional 50p snack contribution remains separate.

Tax-Free Childcare

Save up to £2,000 per year

For every 80p you put into your Tax-Free Childcare account, the government adds 20p — a 25% top-up on everything you spend. Maximum £2,000 government contribution per child per year. You must be working and earning at least the National Minimum Wage for 16 hours per week.

30-hour funding

30 free hours from 9 months

Working parents with children from 9 months may be eligible for 30 free hours per week during term time (or 22 hours stretched over 48 weeks). You’ll need a code from HMRC — apply via GOV.UK before your child’s term starts. Apply early, as codes can take a few weeks to arrive.

Common Questions

Fees & funding FAQs

Fees are due monthly in advance, on the first of each month. We’ll send an invoice ahead of time. You can pay by bank transfer, Tax-Free Childcare account, or childcare vouchers (legacy scheme only).
Yes. Funded hours are deducted from your total session costs and you only pay for hours beyond your entitlement. We’ll help you work out the most cost-effective arrangement for your family.
We offer settling-in sessions before your child’s official start date. The first short visit is free. Subsequent sessions are charged at the standard hourly rate. We never rush this process.
There is no registration fee. We ask for a one-month deposit on signing the contract, which is held and returned when your child leaves, offset against any Good fees.
Fees are due regardless of absence except during the nursery’s own closures. We do not offer refunds for illness or holidays. We ask for one month’s written notice to reduce or end a place.
A 10% sibling discount applies to Holiday Club bookings for two or more children from the same family. Nursery fees do not currently include a sibling discount, but please speak to us if you’re facing financial hardship — we will always do our best to help.
